Gallery 7: Bighorn Sheep & Mountain Goats

High in the mountains most of the year, bighorn sheep and mountain goats work their way down to the lower areas of the valley during the early winter. Keen eyesight and agility on steep mountain slopes give them advantages over many preditors.

Herds of bighorn sheep are common in quite a few of Wyoming's mountain ranges. Mountain goats are much less common and are always a treat to get to photograph.
